Robert Reed OAM, Pro Bono & Community Investment Coordinator, MinterEllison, Brisbane
Robert Reed is a Special Counsel in the Brisbane office of MinterEllison and was instrumental in developing the firm’s Community Investment Program, which supports it’s pro-bono legal services and community partnerships. Robert currently manages the Community Investment Program in Brisbane and is responsible for coordinating Brisbane’s pro bono effort.
Robert is a Past President of the QPILCH (now known as LawRight) Management Committee and Past Chair of the Queensland Law Society Access To Justice and Pro Bono Committee. He manages MinterEllison’s longstanding partnership with Australia’s CEO Challenge, and is the primary founder of the Darkness To Daylight Challenge event and participates in it every year by running all night.
Robert was recognised for his contribution to social welfare and the law by receiving an Order of Australia Medal in 2018’s Australia Day Honours list. Robert received the Queensland Law Society Individual Pro Bono Award in 2009 and was a finalist for the Australian Human Rights Award (Law Category) in 2013.
