Ipswich Anti-Domestic Violence Community Taskforce are running two affordable workshops in Ipswich on 10 and 11 November to help men develop awareness around domestic violence. Shannon Spriggs-Murdoch will lead the MATE training workshops at Ipswich Leagues Club each day.
Dr Spriggs-Murdoch is a leading expert in violence prevention who has spent the last twelve years working to prevent men’s violence against women around the world. Responsible for the Mentors in Violence Prevention program, she has facilitated over 800 training sessions.
She received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration with a focus on Student Development from Boston College in 2007. She is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Violence Research and Prevention program at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia.
